Football Mom Craziness
Well Pop-Warner and High School Football is almost over and hopefully I will have more time to add to my site and post regularly. My son Nick is a senior and plays football, we have our last league game tomorrow night and then 3 more playoff games. Jesse plays his last game saturday for the playoff championship! It's always so exciting but very time consuming as well and draining emotionally fo me at least! LOL
I have been filling out endless college forms for Nick and he has 3 coach/recruiters interested in him so far so that has been very exciting and my hopes are set very high that he can at least get part of his college paid for but who knows! We have been dealing with a minor injury and lots of sickness that seems to just be circling through everyone in our family. After Thanksgiving football will be done and we will hopefully all stay well for a while! I'm looking forward to the Holidays and doing some extra stamping projects which I hope to feature on here soon so check back!

Top Note Sizzix Die
Ok I love this top note die! I love it!!!! The dimensions given under each die image in the Holiday mini Catalog are the actual block die dimension not the cut out image dimension.
So the top note die measures 5-1/2" x 6" the cut out top note measures 4-1/2" x 3-5/8" which fits very nicely on a standard card front! The perforated edge allows you to cut the top note down and layer it on another one and the Scallop circles are very nice as well! I can see how you could incorporate all of these both in your cardmaking and scrapbooking along with home decor as well! I am currently working on a fall banner so we will see what that little project yields! Check back as I will upload
that to my gallery as soon as I've finished it!

Too Fun-Never Ending Card!
Judy Jones gave us all a card at Convention and I just loved it-the never ending card! Thanks so much Judy!  I have been working on this card for our next Stampers Ten groups in September! I was amazed at the amount of time this took but well worth it so here is what I came up with! I wanted to use some new DS paper with this but found that I didn't have many choices as my order with the new DS paper is still not here yet! Grrrr....patience I know!
However this card is so easy to incorporate any stamp sets or accessories into that I found myself with too many choices! I made several before I choose this one, mainly because I had enough of this Summer Picnic DS paper. Lisa was so gracious to loan me her convention set; Flight of the Butterfly and between my own and Lori's that will give me three sets to use. I always struggle with the release of the new catalog at my first stampers ten group meetings, I am so excited to use new stamps but no one has these new wonderful stamps yet and so any project that we make takes quite a while to do with only one stamp set to share among 11 to 13 people! I try to avoid long periods of waiting time as I want the group nights to be fun and non-stressful! I love this card, it is so fun to open and I always love a card that doesn't require me to write alot in it! LOL-I send so many cards with no real reason behind them, just thinking of you or wanted to send you something so this is perfect to just sign and send!

Stamp Garage Sale!
We held our annual Stamp garage sale on July 15th. This is the fifth year now and it was again a huge sucess! This event follows the release of the new catalog and features retired stamp sets along with other stamp companies and retired accessories. It always amazes me when I look out the window at 6 am and see car loads of people waiting for us to open! I'm not sure why but every year, I'm surprised! LOL
I started doing this annual stamp sale as a way for my Stampers ten group members to be able to sell some of their retired stamps and make room for new upcoming items. We all have limited resourses and storage room and this has proven to be a wonderful way to recycle so to speak our retired items. It also provides a way to continue being a part of the stampers ten group, guilt free!
I look forward to it every year except for the 110 degree weather, we always have so much fun! Lisa came up this year and joined us for the sale and we really had alot of fun!
I wanted to say Thank you again for all the help they give: Lori MacFarland, Anita Martinez, Lisa Dallas and Betty MacFarland. I also had help from Kelly Cole and Amy Parks came and just hung out with us for a while-Super fun and hot too!

Convention Nametags!
I had so much fun making our little group of convention goers nametags! I belong to a group of friends who happened to meet on Splitcoaststampers. I think the group began with 4 ladies who started a thread in the forums about 'Spam' (canned edible spam) so they adopted the name 'spam maam's and the group grew to 12 of us. So this year I wanted to make a nametag for the 7 of us who were attending convention with the 'canned spam' somehow incorporated along with our splitcoast name and of course we all have a 'spammy name' as well!
Mine happens to be 'The Purse Spammy' I know you're shocked, how on earth did I come up with that one! LOL
But I had so much fun with these! The chef from Voila' set and YES, I own 2 spam rubber stamps!
So this was what I came up with! LOL
